As we move toward Christmas, Pole Body Soul will release a couple of festive classes to bring warmth, sensuality and a touch of holiday magic into your practice. The first one is ready in the library towards the end of this week, and it’s called Warm December.
This class is a Christmas-heels special built around a cozy, sensual choreography to the song “Warm December.” The focus is on flow, expression and feeling the music in your body. You begin with a gentle full-body warm-up to open the shoulders, spine and hips, followed by foot activation and balance work to prepare for dancing in heels.
Once the choreography starts, the atmosphere shifts immediately: the song has no intro, so you slide straight into movement. Expect soft walks toward the pole, stroking lines, girly kicks, controlled slides and a series of slow waves and seated transitions. The routine blends sensual pole-based shapes with floorwork, including rolls, split variations, pirouettes, knee circles, armpit holds, body waves, hair tosses and elegant leg lines.
The sequence is intentionally expressive. There are a few moments where you choose your level: keeping things simple and low to the ground, or taking the more advanced leg pathways and higher kicks if it feels right. The class encourages you to play with the cozy, intimate feeling of the music and let your own style show.
“Warm December” ends with a beautiful, slow finish – a last wave into standing, a soft reach of the arm, and a final pose toward your “audience.” It’s a full, flowing routine that lets you enjoy the sensual side of the season.
